Input/Output charset options
« on: September 25, 2011, 08:33:24 PM »
I've ran across this problem too many times now...

It would be great if we could set the input/output charset as a per-server/per-channel setting, as it would solve problems with foreign symbols, eg ""
I can receive/send the fine on most places, but not always, and when that happens, i usually end up having to read "åäö" as ""
I may not be perfect, but parts of me are excellent

IceChat 2009 already has UTF Support built into it. It auto-detects it.

Are you using IceChat 7 or IceChat 9?

That depends on if i'm on a network/channel that's English or not

Most of the time i use 7 though.

Yes, version 7 has no UTF support, but 9 does.
