multiple dcc
« on: November 01, 2006, 06:34:48 PM »
I don't have any sort of DCC problems with IceChat 5, the only thing i hated in that version was the auto-scroll in channels ... I just installed the latest 7.0 release and tried to do some DCC downloads (they work fine in version 5). As long as I had a single download, everything ran smooth. The moment I added 2nd and 3rd, all the previous downloads stopped. The files on the HDD whose download was in progress were still locked (and increased in size by a few Kb once in a while - nowhere close to their original speeds (300Kb/s)) ...

any ideas?

thank you

Hmm, not sure, did a lot of testing on DCC's, and it all worked fine.

So when you add a new download, does it work ok? Or do they all stop working?

Ok, I will do more testing and see what is up.
7.01 is in the works as we speak anyways, so just another item to add to the list.

Thanks

cool, I'll have some time during the weekend, so I'll look into it, I'll look into my ethereal logs to see what's happening with the traffic when I add dcc downloads and stuff like that ... I'll let you know if I find something.

thx

I already found what the problem is.
It seems the dcc's did not actually stop, but the dcc's on the page just stopped updating. Strange behaviour, in any case.

Problem has been fixed :)
