Proxy and Language
« on: January 23, 2006, 01:04:32 AM »
Whether there will be a support of a proxy in following versions? Where it is possible to look at the language module, I wish to translate IceChat on Russian?

I have no idea when I will get Proxy settings working.

As for Languages, it is still in the testing phase. Not all items in IceChat are able to be translated, so it is not complete.  This is why no languages are available for use yet. Yes, the languages menu is there, but this is mainly for testing.

I want to make a small program to ease translating for people. This should be available when the next Alpha version is released, which should be in early February.

Thanks

Sorry, but it is going to take longer, as I have been working on the Text Window, which has many bugs. Will have to wait.
I do have multi-language working now, but it has not been tested fully, and I have had no translations made yet.

I will need to get some translators to translate the messages I have so far.

I could become the translator from English on Russian :)

Hope you get the proxy thing sorted eventually.

I'm finding IceChat a really good IRC client, better than a lot of commercial progs I've seen.

Good luck with the development work.

Well, the only thing stopping me from working on the Proxy setup, is that I have no proxy to test it with. So until I have access to one, development will not go any further with that.
The same goes for BNC Support.
