Topic change for others?
« on: June 27, 2005, 01:16:55 AM »
Is there any way to make it possible for others than the channel-creator to change Topic? And in such case, how?

Anyone with an @ in front of their name can.(these are channel operators), if the mode "t" is set. If you wish for anyone to set the topic, turn off that mode.
To easily change this, double click in a channel window and a channel info window will popup, disable the "only ops can set topic" option. Then click the apply button. That turns off mode "t".

That's how I figured it worked. But the weird thing is I haven't enabled the "only ops can set topic" option and still can't change Topic if I'm not the channel creator.  :(

Then ask in the help channel on the network you are on. They will know.
