Hi all, downloaded IceChat yesterday and seems pretty

cool so far.
One thing I like is the multi-server capabilites.

Now.....my problem..........

I connect to 3

or 4 IRC networks and join certain channels, then if theres no activity, i minimize it and go and play games.  In my sound

settings I have it set to play a sound on channel event, this makes the beep noise when someone connects/leaves/changes

nick/changes channel mode...basically anything.

I dont want to drop out of a game to read part messages and channel

mode changes!
Can I set it to only beep on chat text?  Is there an obscure setting I am missing, or does it need a

script?

Any help will be great.

Cheers guys.

Hello

Yes, you would have to do that via a script. The

sound events are not specific enough to do just specific channel events, although this may be a good addition for an upcoming

version. But in the mean time, you can script it, and that will work fine then.

Hi, thanks for quick reply.
Is there anywhere I should

look for scripting help? Or is it very complicated.

I don't know where to start and don't know anyone to ask to do

it for me.
Is there a site I could look at to help?

Thanks again.

IceChat comes with Help files, and they are online as

well.
There is also a Script section in the forums if you get stuck.
