DV NETWORK SOFTWARE.MSI error
« on: November 01, 2004, 10:07:27 AM »
Any time I launch IceChat or

anytime I connect to a server, i get the MS Installer looking for "DV NETWORK SOFTWARE.MSI".

After repeatedly clicking

cancel I can get past it, but it does it everytime. Any thoughts?

No idea at all.
MSI is the Microsoft Installer, no idea why it would try and run

that.
Even more odd, is that icechat itself does not use MSI to install.

Any idea what this software

is?

Otherwise, you have me at a total loss.

I have a Canon ZR90. It has a DV Messenger

software that comes with it which contains it's own network driver. Aparently Icechat checks all methods of comunication

while connecting and since I did not fully install the DV messenger it was prompting me to do so. I put my disk in the drive

that comes with the camera, it loaded some files, and poof, problem solved.

just couldnt see IceChat causing it  :)
