Just a few things :)

1) When clicking on

the status window that comes up when you load up icechat, if I have no connections going, and click, I get an

errror:

Runtime Error 13
Type Mismatch

2) Really annoying: When I select text in the input box, Backspace

doesnt delete them

3) Sometimes when I paste things in the inputbox, it submits without even asking or pressing enter.

This happened once when I pasted a 30 line thing in once by accident, and got killed & banned from the server for a while

:(

4) If you push the input box up really high, then bring it back to exactly where it was before loads of empty lines

appear in the main view, and they are empty as the scrollbar stays as it was. As soon as someone talks or sometinh happens,

it goes back to how it should be

5) Randomly, the scrollbar has problems, and everyime I scroll to the bottom, when

someone talks it moves up. I have to move to another thing and come back, then it is fixed for that.

6) Not really a

bug/problem but I'll put it in here to save starting a new thread. It'd be nice if the away system could tell you what you

were back from

IE

* User is now away - Reason: Sleeping
* User is back from Sleeping, gone 1 hour 12

minutes

Thankyou very much for reading this :)

Thanks, will look at em one by one.

With problem 1

though, what do you mean by "click'. Click where and what button?

As for the away - you can edit this

yourself.

Add $awayreason in the return message, IE:

/ame returned from $awayreason : Gone for $awaytime

Happens when clicking anywhere inside the status text box.

:)

That is so obvious about the away thing I feel stupid, I cant see how I missed that

Just in case you didn't know, Snerf, (probably you did but

just wanted to make sure), problem #2 is the same one I've been having.. remember my Shift+Home, Delete dilemma? Apparently

I meant Backspace instead of Delete, and I've noticed that this only seems to occur when it involves the very last line of

the input box.

Well, I am not going to worry about it for a while.

I

can not continue dealing with all these little problems for a while, I need to start spending more time in getting version 6

running. I have spent absolutely no time at all with it, because I am too deep into fixing all the problems with 5.20, which

seem endless. I can continue working on 5.2x, but I can assure you, nothing will get done with version 6 this way. Its a

tough choice, but I need to get to work on Version 6.

So your gonna have to hang tight for a while. and not worry

about these small annoyances. I will get to them again in a short while, after I get some basic stuff working for IceChat

6.

Thanks again

I can understand that, but one of them is more than a small

annoyance. On #1, sometimes when I bring the window  back from the system tray and have lots of channels open, clicking on

one gives an overflow, and disconnects me. I lose any statuses I have on those channels and completely lose whatever I was

doing. Luckily, it doesnt happen to often.

Good luck with IceChat 6 :)

If you download http://www.icechat.net/icechat521.zip it has

a couple fixes already, its a beta version of 5.21. That will address a couple of problems, #1, #2 and #4.

The

scrolling problem (#5) is just something that has been on-going, and works for most, but not for all, and I am always

tinkering with it, which causes it then to work for those some, but then not for others. Its all because of the control I use

for displaying the text (RichTextBox) which just has many little problems. I am hoping I can get a replacement control for

version 6, or a custom one.

As for #3, there is no way possible that it sends without you pressing enter, so, nothing

I can do about that.

Thanks, I will download that version :)

I've never

had it send before, but that one time it did, which puzzled me too. No idea what caused it

Thanks again :)

Seems to have fixed the crashing, great :)

One last

thing remains, if you drag the input box too high, the program crashes without warning. Everything else seems fine

:)

Thanks :)

Then don't drag the inputbox too high :P

Like the

doctor says, if it hurts when ya do "that", then don't do "that" .

:)

I'll see what I can do about

it.

Enjoy
