Version - Spamming?
« on: February 28, 2004, 09:14:39 AM »
Hi community!

I have the following

Problem:
If I join a channel I spam every user with *my Version* e.g. "[17:31] <Name> [NAME VERSION]" all the time,

even when I do nothing.
How to switch this *function* off?  :(

Spam every user, do you mean you are sending them all messages?
Or just 1 message to the

channel?

There is a FAQ on how to Remove all your Script Files in the FAQ/ Scripting Section.

If you want to

keep some of your script files, I would look in an ONJOIN Event for something that is sending mesages.

Well, if you dont see the messages, you are not doing anything. Perhaps someone is just saying

this. IceChat does not send messages, without you seeing it. I think there is confusion here, or someone is just saying

something thats being understood. Can you provide a server and channel, so I can perhaps see this myself?

Thanks
