one key press in alias
« on: March 04, 2011, 06:28:30 AM »
Hiya

I have been using mirc for years so know a lot about it, someone told me about icechat so I thought I would try it out, now I have come across a small problem which I can do in the mirc alias but can't work out how to do so in ice chat, so if anyone can help that would be great, let me explain...

In mirc alias I could type in F1 /say ctrlk 12 scream then click ok

If I then hit the F1 key that would show up in the room as scream

Hope you can help thanks

jane

You need to make a new script file and paste this.

Code: [Select]
hotkey F2 {
/say this is a test
}

Then save the file as an .ICS file

Pressing the F2 key then does the trick.

Thanks for the reply, I have now done that and got the F2 to work in the room after carrying out the instructions given, so I assumed you do the same for each F key so I tried F1 and typed something in, but when I saved the script the same then pressed F1 it just opened internet explorer and took me to the icechat help page, so is there something else I need to do in the icechat editor, to get the other keys to work?

Thanks I look forward to any replies

F1 will not work because it is the key to open IceChat Help.
