AutoJoin list problem
« on: October 20, 2010, 08:40:04 AM »
Lately one or more of my AutoJoin lists have somehow been cleared of all data.  I normally connect to multiple channels on three servers.  This problem is intermittent.  Sometimes only one server list is affected, sometimes all of them.

Rebuilding each list (one server has more than a dozen channels I monitor) manually is a royal PITA.

Any ideas on a cause?  Or whether there might be a better way to restore an erased ajoin list than typing in each channel in the server edit dialog box?

The Autojoin list for each server has an issue with containing too many channels in it. It has a character limit of about 250 characters, so if the list goes larger then this, you will have a chance of losing your data.

If you have too many in a list, I would suggest making an alias that would join multiple channels, and then run the alias as an auto perform command.

Add an Alias like this for instance:
Code: [Select]
/joinall {
/join #channel1
/join #channel2
/join #channel3
}

And then the command to add to autoperform would be '/joinall'.
Of course you can name the command whatever you want.
