Line spacing
« on: March 24, 2010, 03:56:50 PM »
I've thought of another feature that would be a very nice (in my opinion) addition to IceChat2009. Would it be possible to make it so that an empty line is inserted in between every paragraph in channel to increase legibility? Optimally, this line would not be auto-inserted between paragraphs of the same style. What do you think?

One last thing - shouldn't we be calling this "IceChat2010"?

At any rate, thanks for making such a great client!!

Do you mean an empty line between what each person say, or between every single line?

And what do you mean by "this line would not be auto-inserted between paragraphs of the same style"

Please clarify a bit more on that.

As for the name, it will most likely just be released as IceChat v9.0, the name for the current build is not really significant, until it reaches an actual release date, which, who knows, may be 2011 :)

Hi, sorry I wasn't very clear. What I meant was an empty line being automatically inserted in between what each person says. By the same 'style', I meant by the same 'nick'. I must have been having some sort of brain malfunction when I typed that. My apologies. :\

So, for example:

[Inkpot] Hey this is what I'm
[Inkpot] talking about. Putting an empty
[Inkpot] line in between what each person says.
*****EMPTY LINE*****
[Snerf] Oh, I think I see what you mean.
[Snerf] It might have made sense if you had shown
[Snerf] me an example before, chowderhead. =)
*****EMPTY LINE*****
[Inkpot] I know, I blame my cold medication.... :P

Hope that helps to clarify!
