IceChat 9 Wishlist / Anti-Idle script
« Last post by TicTac on January 16, 2018, 03:26:11 AM »
I have changed from regular mIrc to IceChat 9. I found out a lot of handy stuff I wanted to have, but there is 1 thing I can't seem to find and that's a way to prevent showing that I am 'idle for 6 hours 3 minuts and 12 seconds'. I have a script in the other mIrc but that's totally different build-up and it doesn't work in IceChat. I am not a pro in scripting/coding, but maybe a script like this could be made?

Someone gave me this script for mIrc, I had to put /Antion in my perform and the next script I had to fill in at mIrc Scripts Editor under the tab Remote.
The script itself:

alias antioff { timeridle off | unset %antiidle | echo -a Anti-Idle has been disabled. }
alias antion { .timeridle 0 10 scid -atM1 antiidle | set %antiidle on | echo -a Anti-Idle has been enabled. }
alias antiidle { .msg $status $me }
raw 401:*: {
  if (connected isin $1-) && (%antiidle) { echo -s Anti-Idle | halt }
}

What this exactly does, I have no clue myself, but I do know that it makes it that I am not longer idle then 10 seconds, even though I am gone for a whole day, people just think I am around. Maybe this script can be re-written into something which works in IceChat 9, or maybe it's possible to figure out any new script for Icechat 9 which does the same! I hope someone can help me!

I have no scheduled update.
Could have one at the end of this month (January).

Could do with that [v9.21] update now tbh —lemme know when it's scheduled —I think you told me 6 months before releasing an update If I remember correctly.. I want to be on IRC & quit this HTML chatroom that I go to. Thanks.
Tip: Even Quick Launch [in taskbar] supports cycling with keyboard first letters (useful when list gets bloated.)

1. There is an resume option, but it needs to be implemented on the sending side as well.
2. Download speed is dependent on so much more then just the client, the sending side could be bottle necked as well
3. Will add the estimated time to the ToDo List

IceChat 9 Wishlist / DCC Suggestions.

Hello.

I used DCC today and noticed a few things that could be improved if you are interested.

1 - A resume file option would be great, something that allowed the file to be resumed instead of having to start over in case of internet or computer error.

2 - Better download speed if possible, don't know if you can optimize that kind of stuff.

3 - An Estimed Time to know when the file is going to finish downloading, just add another tab at the end.

Thanks for reading.

Best regards.

Chit Chat / New Windows 10 Fall Update Features !
« Last post by total_annihilation00 on December 07, 2017, 02:19:40 AM »
If you've got the new Windows 10 Creators Fall Update then check this out —it has 2 features among many that really stand out:
Add emojis from your keyboard: The new Windowz 10 feature update adds a built-in emoji panel !! Press Windows logo key  + period (.) to open an emoji panel, then express yourself with emoji wherever you want, such as conversations, docs, and even web searches.
Talk instead of type: Talk to write an email or message instead of typing it. Select touch keyboard  on the taskbar, select microphone  or press Windows logo key   + H, then talk to dictate.
P.S: It did shave 10 GB off my Windows partition —especially since I'am running low on disk space on it. Oh & added Great Britain language pack (it always does that —had to remove it.)
P.S: Also Task Manager is not Metro-UI based anymore —so for instance, when I use CursorFX Plus "Light Ring" mouse cursor, which always turns invisible when hovering over Metro-UI menus —like Taskbar Jump Lists —this one is iron-clad (no more cursor issues) ! Also Task Man now shows GPU & GPU Engine (correct me if I'am wrong & it showed these before.) !!!

Well, no search box will be added, but I have it working where typing the 1st letter will go to that nick, and loop through each, and go back to the beginning.
I will add this to 9.21, seems to work somewhat well.

Yeah thats good enough :-P

Yes —it goes through all nicks beginning with the letter, in a loop. At the end it goes to the first one again, & repeats. I prefer Pidgin's search feature.
On Pidgin there's a tiny box below the userlist —it doesn't filter per se —just finds the most suitable match & scrolls to it. I should take a few screenshots (I think I've posted one before.)
ChatZilla is originally built into SeaMonkey & an addon for Firefox, but can be run standalone: ChatZilla on XULRunner.

When you have multiple nicks that start with the same letter, does it just go to the next one in the list?
