Title: ignore word
Post by: DarkStar on December 09, 2006, 01:02:44 AM
I was wondering if you can add a option to filter incoming messages, like if the message contains a specified word you dont see that message. That way you can filter out things you dont want to view w/o ignoring the person entirely.

I am sure this can be done with a script.

How? Is there a intext function like the outtext function?

No, not sure what ya mean by intext? Its ONTEXT for the ice5 script stuff. But there is no way to stop a message coming through, totally. Would have to get creative :) mirc has that halt thing, IceChat has no such option.

i meant by "intext" that it would filter let you filter incoming text entirely. ontext would let me add that person to an ignore list but would still show the message.

what im getting at is if person a sends a bad word, and person b has the bad word blocked, you dont see the message.

Kind of how like the bug with the marker worked, if someone had the triggure in the message you would see the marker and not their message, but this would just not let you see the message.

I could just see that as another stage of slowing down the client. And honestly, I dont see it as something that would get used much at all.
