Title: Can't get into IceChat
Post by: ladydreamrider on September 17, 2006, 10:21:23 PM
IceChat no longer recognizes my passcode or my IP address. I couldn't change anything to make it work, so I tried taking IceChat off my computer.
I went into Control Panel Add Remove and removed IceChat, but all it took out was the uninstaller, so I went into search and pulled up all the files...I removed several, but there are still IceChat files in shared folder that I can't remove. I went in to the registry using reglite, and removed more files, but there are still IceChat files residing in my computer....

I want to either remove all of it or make it work.  I really like the format... but can't have it messing up and not letting me in...
Thanks for your help in resolving this problem.

Um, what do you mean by a "passcode"
IceChat does not ask for a password.

You seem to be mixed up what is IceChat, and what an IRC Network is asking for.
You need to clarify this.

You are still not being clear about it.
This is not an IceChat problem, but a problem with the IRC Server you are using.
If your nickname is no longer registered in the server you are using, then re-register it.
Join the #help channel on the network you are using.

Again, this is not a problem with the IceChat program itself, but with the IRC Server you are connecting to.
