The topic in the bar above the chat windows is shown correctly.
The topic in the chat window itself does not have the correct colors.

What are your color settings for the topic change?
It is being shown as black text in the topic window, I am guessing it is different for the topic text and the topic change. Also, are you sure there is no control color being used to force the topic to black?

4,0::1 OCRANA.4ATI1 Redaktion 4:: 1Fokus auf OCRANA, Teamwork, Qualität 4:: 1 Nächstes Meeting: ->Poll 4::1 Blocktext beachten 4::1 "News Bauen" im Clanintern beachten 4::1BEIM NEUSTEN POLL VOTEN!!!:: Iviews EPS Finals ?

Thats the topic code.

I have tried several combinations of white and black for the bg color of the topic and the text color.
It is always the same...

4,0::1 OCRANA
               ^

Ya, see, it has a color code of 1, which is black. That is why it is showing black on black.

then why is it different in the topic bar above?

Ok, I see the problem now.
The 1st color combo is 4,0, which is Red on White. The topic bar shows it properly, but channel is not showing it with a white background, excelt for the two :: characters. With the 2nd color combo, it is just 1. It is defaulting back to the default background color, since it did not find a background color to set for the 1, only the 4,0.

This is not a problem with the topic at all, just the way that background colors are parsed in my new text window. If it does not find a background color in the color codes, it just uses the default one, which in your case is black.

I'll check it out for the next build.
Thanks

Ya, the 20051205 build should have it fixed.
I also changed the topic window in 20051205, work in progress still, had some new ideas.
