Title: Hide IP
Post by: kawaii on December 21, 2004, 02:37:25 PM
Is there a way to hide the ip location information

when I log on to a chat.
Is there a script that I can use to do this or is there an option?
I don't want my provider

carrier and location to show in the whois area.

This depends on the Server/Network you are connected to.

IceChat can not hide your IP/Host, but some Networks provide a way to do this.

For instance, with Quakenet or

Undernet, you can register a username, and then set Mode +x, after logging on with your username, which then changes your host

to Username.users.network.com .

You can add the Logon to the Username and setting mode +x in AutoPerform for the

server you wish to do this on.

Consult the Networks web page for further information.
