http://www.icechat.net/site/scripting/icechat-7-scripting-style/

You will see an example there.
The example shows when someone types the word !hello in the channel #icechat

The script does not work when you type it, only someone else.

it didnt work, i change the script to:

on *:TEXT:!hello:#stormtalk:{
/say $chan Hello $nick , how are you
/say $chan Welcome to $chan
}

and nothing happened when i ask my friend to say !hello in channel #stormtalk.
i put the script in CTRL+S>Script
and my icechat version is IceChat 7.70 20101031

You need to save it as a proper file type.
Make sure it is save as an IceChat 7 Style Script (*.ics)
