Title: Accessibility topic that was in the ice chat seven section
Post by: lights_rage on August 24, 2010, 07:15:14 PM
Ok,
I moved this to the appropiate place.
Ok, its a bit better,  buttons need labeling so a screen reader can see them.
All functions need to be able to be performed through the menus. Screen reader users do not use the mouse.
fix ssl.
ok thats not an accessibility thing thats my longing for ssl talking.
the pannels can cause issues when trying to get to new messages with the numpad.  so with those off you cant connect to a server or anything.  make the treeview accessible from a menu.  I will keep track on updating mine and testing it for accessibility.  make sure enter key sends messages.  it would be cool to hit the tab key to go from the input box to the nicklist.  l label edit boxes in the setup with field names, i kept hearing tips so maybe window-eyes was picking up on strange points in the screen.  I hop0e this gibes you an idea of what is needed.

Ok, so the main issue from what I can see is making sure that all items are accessible from menus.
I can also make it that you can scroll through the server/nick list with the cursor keys.

All the buttons do have labels on them, so maybe I am not really following what your meaning there.
