Title: How about a notepad?
Post by: Lauranator on June 14, 2009, 09:51:48 AM
Build within IceChat a text editor, like Notepad, where you can jot down notes or ideas while chatting, or simply have a link/button in IceChat that will bring up a Notepad file.

What makes that different from opening notepad?

Also, Ice2009 will be cross-platform with mono, and they don't really have notepad, but other programs.  Makes that kinda hard to implement.

You can already add popup menus to run external programs in IceChat, which could easily be made to open a notepad text file.

Hmm yeh, I suppose I could make a popup to open a notepad file.  I just figured perhaps the new release could already have such a thing in place, such as it does for the log files txt files, and brings you right to your icechat txt files.

Could you by chance tell me the script to add for opening up a notepad file?  I'm not exactly a wizard at such things and its hard to find IceChat scripts on the web.

Thnx.

... It's not a script, you go to the menu, click "open," and find it.
