Title: Multiple Command Popups
Post by: jenova on September 10, 2008, 01:30:14 PM
I'm just coming back to Icechat and I can't figure out about popups.

I wanna create some channel popups for doing multiple commands. To make it easier to work with.

So if I click on the popup, it'll perform these commands in a sequence. Timers would likely be needed.

First Action: /ns ghost nick password
Second Action: /nick nick
Third Action: /ns identify password

I know how this is done with mIRC.

..Nick:/ns ghost nick password | timer 1 3 /nick nick | timer 1 5 /ns identify password

Doing that, when it clicked, it'd immediately run the first, trip the timer and wait. At 3 seconds it'd change my nick. At 5 seconds it'd identify.

I tried using this on Icechat and got errors. I wrote it like this:

..Nick:msg nickserv ghost nick password | /nick nick | /ns identify password

The first part works, however I get errors on the second and third. Saying that /nick and /ns are unidentified commands.

Can someone help show me how to do multiple commands in sequence? I have a number that require doing.

Looks like a bug with spaces in parsing. Try this:

..Nick:msg nickserv ghost nick password |/nick nick |/ns identify password

There is also a slighty different way.
Create a multiline alias, which work great, and then just run the alias.
Add the following to Aliases section of the IceChat Editor.

Code: [Select]
/nickfix {
/ns ghost $1 password
/nick $1
/ns identify password
}

Then just run '/nickfix Nick'  in the Channel Popup.
You can of course use timers too, just like mirc. (same way)
